DRC Records 90% Cure Of Covid-19 Cases #rwanda #RwOT

Government of DRC has reported that 8,920 people have been cured of the Covid-19 out of a total of 9,811 (including 9,810 confirmed cases and 1 probable case), reports the daily bulletin of Friday, August 21 from the response team for this epidemic.

According to the country’s health experts, this represents a cure rate of 90.9%.

Since the start of the epidemic declared on March 10, 2020, there have been 251 deaths (250 confirmed cases and 1 probable case), a case fatality rate of 2.55%, adds the source.

For the day of Friday, August 21, 9 new cases were confirmed, including 8 in Kinshasa and 1 in South Kivu. 254 samples were tested and 3 new deaths of the confirmed cases.

No new healed person came out of the Covid-19 Treatment Centers (CTCo), nor among the patients followed at home.

The response team also specifies that the Covid-19 test is free for everyone in the country. However, the traveler test costs US $ 30.

The 17 provinces affected:

Kinshasa: 7,880 cases;
North Kivu: 602 cases;
Kongo-Central: 429 cases;
Haut-Katanga: 314 cases;
South Kivu: 297 cases;
Lualaba: 94 cases;
Ituri: 91 cases;
Haut-Uélé: 45 cases;
Tshopo: 27 cases;
Nord-Ubangi: 10 cases;
Ecuador: 6 cases;
Kwilu: 6 cases;
Sud-Ubangi: 5 cases;
Haut-Lomami: 1 case:
Kasai: 1 case;
Kasaï-Central: 1 case;
Kwango: 1 case.
