Rwanda National Police on Thursday paraded two of its own service men and a civilian accomplice. They have been taking bribes from car owners while processing through Contrôle Technique (vehicle inspection).
'The Investigations have been ongoing for some time,' says Police Spokesperson CP John Bosco Kabera.
The civilian accomplice has been finding car owners that would be willing to pay some money to have their non-roadworthy cars to successfully pass through Contrôle Technique . This civilian accomplice was found in possession with Rwf170,000 cash and a car that was in Dangerous Mechanical condition.
