President Uhuru Kenyatta and Kenya's former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are scheduled to begin looking for a million signatures required to endorse their Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) document.
The collection of a million signatures and public outreach that starts tomorrow will end on December 2.
In the BBI arrangement, Raila and Uhuru decided that since 1992 when multiparty politics were introduced, Kenyans have not been able to accept the decisions made through the ballots.
'Our Country is staring at a constitutional moment and the National question goes back to the advent of our Multi-Party System for indeed it was after the re-introduction of political pluralism in 1992 that negative politics began to dominate. Now we need to ask ourselves as a people; how do we change this through a constitutional consensus?,' President Uhuru said.
Raila Odinga who has been a strong government critique has contested in presidential elections more than once and lost but has never accepted defeat. This has seen Kenyans turn against each other leading the loss of lives, destruction of property and triggering tribalism.
Two years ago, Odinga and Uhuru saw the light shook hands and chose to re-form Kenya's system of governance, power distribution and resources allocation all to benefit and unify Kenyans as a people. This would be different from a strong presidency, resource allocation to selected constituencies and the ruling party.

The two leaders have been collecting views to modify the BBI document detailing how Kenya intends to open a new chapter. However, this new BBI initiative would require Kenya to go to a referendum and vote Yes or No to the new initiative.
'We call upon those who want to see an end to corruption, ethnic antagonism, marginalisation of sections of society, empowerment of youth, women and people living with disability to board the BBI train,' says former Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru.
'We now wish to inform all Kenyans that we shall launch collection of signatures as it is required by law for the Bill tomorrow. The process will be led by the president and former Prime Minister Raila,' Waweru said.
'The Bill is ready and Kenyans will see it tomorrow when the two principals launch it. We are not required to gazette the Bill but collect a million signatures and take them to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for verification,' said the BBI national secretariat led by joint chairmen Junet Mohammed (Suna East).
