President KAGAME announced this on November 30, 2022, after some time has passed since the RDC said that the minerals processed in Rwanda's industries come from that country.

It is an accusation that is often passed on in the media in the DRC where it is also said that Rwanda is starting a war in this country to see how it plunders that natural resource.

It was also confirmed by the Report made on the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2020, which was submitted to the President of the United Nations Security Council.

Rwanda that are going to be sold abroad, which are carried out by armed groups in Congo.

Rwanda strongly condemned it, pointing out that all the stones that pass through Rwanda have their characteristics and where they came from and in a known way.

It is something that President Kagame has emphasized once again saying that the country has the ability to use it a lot in sharing, but it cannot steal.

"Yes, they also say that we are accused of stealing their property, RDC's precious stones, one thing we are not, that is what makes us who I am talking about. We are not thieves. We work to achieve what we have and what we can achieve. Where we are now, the progress we have achieved, depends sometimes on the help we receive from these people who accuse us, these great countries, who help us" He said.

President Kagame said that those who accuse Rwanda of stealing the natural resources of the DRC, including the countries that normally support it, know very well that the progress achieved has resulted from the good and hard work of Rwandans.

"Because they are helping other countries, they will never find another country that is productive and given the money that Rwanda does" President Kagame said.

'It's not an accident, it's just who we are and no one is going to take it away from us. But when it comes to trying to cut from us a leaf because we're a short banana tree, they'll get their money's worth. That means it will be very difficult for them.'

Political and security observers in Eastern Congo say that the armed groups that have attacked the region are mainly made up of Congolese as well as foreigners.

Some of the politicians in the DRC themselves are accused of accusing armed groups in the East to help them extract minerals without questioning their actions or impunity.

Last year in March, the President of the RDC Parliament, Christophe Mboso N'Kodia Pwanga said that some MPs are working with armed groups.
