Rapper Hakizimana Amani, known as P-Fla, is preparing for his first concert in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, scheduled for July 20, 2024.
This concert is organized by the company 'Agakoni', which usually helps artists perform in that city.
In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, which we credit for this story, Batman, the organizer of this concert, mentioned that inviting P-Fla to perform in that country is because 'he is a rapper with a history in Rwanda' and because 'rappers are currently popular in Dubai.'
He said, 'I wanted to invite P-Fla just like I usually promote other Hip Hop artists because they are the ones who are popular here in Dubai.'
He added, 'Secondly, P-Fla is a person with a music history in Rwanda, and also because many people living here in Dubai requested it.'
He mentioned that this concert will be attended by Rwandans living in various parts of the United Arab Emirates and others.
Batman said that organizing this concert is also aimed at promoting the Hip Hop genre 'because I see that it is not as fast-paced as it was in past years.'
He has helped artists like Bull Dogg, Bushali, and Riderman perform in Dubai.
He said, 'People here love him because they asked me to invite him.' He added that after this concert, he would invite others, especially those who have built their careers in Hip Hop music, including those who have played a role in promoting this genre and other rappers currently emerging.
Batman noted that P-Fla will share the stage with other Rwandan artists who reside in that country. He said, 'They will be there to support him.'
He explained that inviting this rapper to perform in Dubai came from their friendship 'and also because I did music in 2012, which made me get to know many people, back then there were few artists like Bac-T and others, many of them.'
Batman stated that in 2012, he released various songs, and after a year, he decided to quit music because he saw no profit at that time.
He said, 'P-Fla is my friend. When I came to Rwanda last year, we met and talked, he showed me his capable projects, and we agreed, so it became necessary to talk, and we agreed that he should come and perform in Dubai.' Batman said that Fireman was supposed to perform at this concert, but 'he couldn't make it due to personal reasons, but we will continue to talk until he can come.'
This concert will take place at a hotel in the African Club/Matrix Club. P-Fla is one of Rwanda's prominent rappers in the Hip Hop genre. His real name is Murerwa Amani Hakizimana, but he uses the name P-Fla in the music industry. He was born in 1983 in Kigali.
He made his first song in 2008 after returning from Norway, where he made a song called 'Ntuzankinishe' produced by BZB from TFP. In 2010, P-Fla held a concert to launch his album 'Naguhaye Imbaraga' at St Andre, where he earned about one million Rwandan francs.
